2. User Accounts & Roles

When you create an account with us, you guarantee that you are above the age of 13 and that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. We offer several roles:
  • Reader: The default role for all users, allowing you to read novels and participate in community discussions.
  • Author: An approved role that allows you to publish and manage your own literary works.
  • Publisher: An approved role for managing multiple authors and their works.
We reserve the right to grant or revoke these roles at our discretion.

3. User-Generated Content

Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share, and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, or other material ("Content"). You are responsible for the Content that you post on or through the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

By posting Content, you represent and warrant that you own the Content or have the right to use it and grant us the rights and license as provided in these Terms. You retain any and all of your rights to any Content you submit. We do not claim ownership of your Content.

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the Service to:
  • Post any Content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person.
  • Use any automated system, including "bots" or "scripts," to access the Service in a manner that sends more request messages to the servers than a human can reasonably produce in the same period.

5. Payments and Refunds

All transactions made on the Service for virtual goods (such as "Shards") or for role upgrades (such as becoming a "Paid Author") are final. You acknowledge and agree that once a transaction has been made, there will be no refunds for any reason. By proceeding with a transaction, you confirm that you are fully aware of this no-refund policy.

6. Dispute Resolution

The owner of this website (Literary Lodge) has ultimate authority over all aspects of the Service. In the event of any dispute, disagreement, or conflict, the decision of the website owner will be considered final and binding. Your use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of this condition.

7. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service or any part of it with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
